We are so glad that you are considering renting our little piece of “heaven-on-earth!” The following information will answer most of your questions regarding the process itself. It’s really simple, just follow the steps below. If you have a question that is not answered here, please include that question on the Reservation Form or phone Robin at (650) 949-4207.
Pricing

- $550 per night low season (Jan.4-March 31; Aug 1-31; Nov.1-Nov.21; Dec.1-Dec.14)
- $595 per night high season (April 1-July 31; Sept.1-Oct 31; Nov.22-30; Dec.15-Jan. 3)
Rental Deposit: 50% of total rental Please note: Your reservation is not confirmed until we have received your rental deposit in our office via credit card or check. If time is of the essence, please send your deposit via FEDEX, UPS or DHL overnight delivery and provide tracking number directly to Robin. Do not use USPS as we have had problems with tracking their deliveries. Email or phone Robin if you have any questions or concerns about this.
Payment: Payment may be made by Personal Check, MasterCard or VISA Credit Card (with 5% processing fee), Money Order, Travelers Cheques, PayPal (with 5% processing fee) or Wire Transfer (plus any applicable bank processing charges). If you are from outside of the US, and wish to pay in Euros, we have a French bank account and this can be arranged. Simply ask Robin for the bank transfer details.
Prices are based on optimal rental of four persons. If you would like to add a fifth person (maximum) or you wish to use the third bed in the study, you will be charged a one time fee of $50 for that person/bed per week. Otherwise the price includes everything – gas, electricity, water, bed linens and towels, professional cleaning. Best of all – all phone calls to US, Canada & Western Europe are completely FREE and included with the price of the apartment! That alone could save you a significant amount of money when you want to call your office or home to stay in touch with your loved ones especially compared to hotels. As parents ourselves, we know how important it is to be able to connect with the family back home.
Step 1: Checking Availability
Kindly look first at our Availability Calendar to see if our home is available for your desired date. If so, then you need to send us a request by filling out the Reservation Form. But first, to be completely aware of our rental conditions and reservation policy, please print out and read the document Rental Conditions before you fill out the Reservation Form below. Keep this for your records. It has most of the information that you will need to understand how we operate. You will see on the Reservation Form that once you email this to us, you will be acknowledging that you have read, understand and will abide by these policies. I know, I know. Nobody likes these kind of formal documents. But our lawyer made us do this. Enough said.
Step 2: Reservation Request Form
Completely fill out the Reservation Form (visible when you scroll down). If your travel date is not firm, and you can be flexible, please mention that in the comments section on the form. For example, if you want to rent on dates that are marked as currently unavailable, and you can work with another date, great. But if we’re also aware of your first choice date and then this date becomes available (sometimes our own personal travel plans change and a date may open up that was not open at the time you made your reservation), we will make every possible effort to contact you.
This email will be sent immediately to Robin and you will have a response shortly, normally within 24 hours, but usually sooner. If, for some reason, you do not hear back within 24 hours, something is wrong with the service provider and please phone us directly. If you would prefer to FAX the information, our FAX number is (650) 745-1233 in the United States. If computers aren’t your thing, just give Robin a call at (650) 949-4207.
Step 3: Confirming your Reservation
Your reservation is only confirmed once we receive the 50% rental deposit (which is non-refundable & non-transferable). In other words, we do not update our calendar and mark dates as unavailable until we receive the deposit. You may do this by paying in a choice of ways as described above Rental Deposit. The balance is due 60 days before arrival. If you make the reservation less than sixty days before your arrival, the entire amount is due at reservation. It is strongly recommend that you check into Travel Insurance (as an example provided for your convenience but not necessarily endorsed or used by us International Benefits) so that you will be protected if your travel plans should change unexpectedly. It’s usually a small amount and it will give you complete piece of mind.
In addition, we must receive with your deposit, an original signed copy of the Rental Conditions Form. This document serves as agreement between us and our guests all the terms and conditions and further acts in place of a security deposit.
Step 4: Our Paris Home Travel Documents
Once your reservation is confirmed, you will be sent two things from our office: a) Immediately, an email receipt for your deposit and the invoice for the balance and b) Within three weeks of your arrival date at our apartment, an email with an attached word processing Travel Document that will provide the name and phone number of our local Apartment Manger who will meet you at our apartment and hand over the keys in Paris, some general information about travel to our apartment and details of that nature. We do not send this out at time of confirmation because so many things can change (both for our guests and our on-site management people) that we have found three weeks before your arrival works the best for everyone involved.
Step 5: Balance of Rental
Balance of rental will need to be paid and arrive in our office no later than 60 days prior to your arrival. You may pay this balance by any of the same methods as described above.
Step 6: Security Deposit and Charges
Should there be any damage to our apartment that needs to be reimbursed to us, the charges for damaged, broken or missing items will be made shortly after your departure, usually within 7 working days, or as soon is reasonably possible to remedy the situation (sometimes this requires a contractor to come and give us an estimate of work to be done and this requires access to the apartment for the contractor to do this). You will receive a confirming e-mail with the credit card amount and description of charge as your receipt. We do not require a security deposit up front. Rather, we have you sign the Rental Conditions form with your credit card information and your authorization to charge your card, should there be any damage to our apartment. At the beginning of your stay when you are checked in to our apartment, you and our Apartment Manager will decide on a mutually agreed upon day and time for a check out and walk through the apartment where, in most instances, any items will be noted together with you.
Please be aware the security charges are separate and distinct from the rental fee and the Customer will only be charged if there is damage to our home.
Then sit back, relax and start making plans for the time of your life in Our Paris Home
